What is your current role and at what company?
I have had the privilege of working as a contractor for Mars for over two years, and my journey with this iconic company has been nothing short of transformative. Initially stepping into the role of Change Lead for a major procurement initiative that had a global impact on all Mars vendors, I was immediately immersed in the dynamic and forward-thinking culture that defines Mars.
What does this entail?
In the ever-evolving landscape of Corporate Finance, my role has evolved to become a linchpin in Mars’ Finance Transformation program. Working closely with program leads and sponsors, I’ve been at the forefront of ushering in new ways of work. Currently, my attention is dedicated to the implementation of a cutting-edge finance consolidation system, embracing industry best practices, and standardizing financial reporting. Additionally, I am working on the introduction of a ground-breaking data asset, which will greatly improve Mars’ internal management reporting.
How do you work closely with Definia?
Central to the success of these endeavours is the unwavering support I receive from Definia. They not only fulfil my resource requirements with unmatched efficiency but also act as a bridge, connecting me with key contacts within both Mars and Definia.
