Introducing our new Solutions Director, Simon Wiggs

We’re excited to welcome Simon Wiggs as the newest member of the Definia team! As Solutions Director, Simon brings over two decades of experience helping businesses navigate complex transformation challenges. To get to know him better, Brand Manager Becca Boulton sat down with Simon to learn more about his background, his perspective on business transformation, and what’s next for him in his new role at Definia.

I bring over 20 years of experience working with organisations in the Financial, Insurance, and Professional Services sectors. In recent years, I’ve worked closely with and supported leaders across the UK within banking, insurance, and legal. My last five years have been spent building a start-up consulting business into an established firm across the UK, Ireland, and Asia-Pacific.

As Solutions Director, I’ll be working with both new and existing clients of The IN Group to help them navigate and solve their most complex business challenges.

I bring experience in defining, designing, and aligning strategic goals to operational practices. I also have a deep understanding of common Tier 1 and Tier 2 technologies across ERP and wider business systems, helping clients implement the right solutions to drive efficiency and growth.

The history books are full of case studies where organisations have failed to meet their transformation objectives. One of the biggest challenges today is resistance to change—whether from fear of the unknown, job security concerns, or discomfort with new technologies and processes.

Overcoming this requires strong leadership, clear communication, and active employee engagement. It’s essential that people at all levels understand the benefits of transformation and feel supported throughout the journey. If not addressed effectively, resistance can undermine even the most well-planned transformation efforts, leading to delays, disengagement, and failure to meet desired outcomes.
